DESCRIPTION:OPTICA and SPIE joint student chapter of Yerevan State University (YSO)\, in collaboration with the IPR Armenia OPTICA student chapter\, PhotonicsAI Laboratory at Yerevan State University\, Brussels Photonics (B-PHOT) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel\, and the Institute for Physical Research (IPR)\, from August 17th to 21st\, 2026\, will host the 2nd International College on Modern Applications of Optics and Photonics (MAOP2026). \nMAOP2026 combines a week-long hands-on training and lectures in the optics laboratories of the Yerevan State University\, followed by presentations and panel discussions. Invited speakers from worldwide will share their research on different topics. During college\, a special section will be dedicated to professional development lectures from the academy’s and industry’s points of view. Students will have the opportunity to present their research as an oral talk or a poster. \nThe goal of the college is to give background knowledge to PhD and master’s students in the modern application of optics and photonics.
