SUMMARY:API Talks - The Story of one Bug
DESCRIPTION:Imagine you are working on a project with some API and a tester just filed a bug report. Now you are diving in the role of a developer and try to fix it. Alexei wants to play a little game with you. He will be showing some fixes and you decide if this will be good enough. Alexei will be rating the fixes in “Junior”\, “Middle”\, “Senior” grades and explain the reasoning behind that grades.\n\nAfter that will have some free talks about day-to-day issues of the complex projects. A few points that we could discuss:\n– Is Postman a good instrument for test automation (spoiler: Alexei thinks – not!)\n– Do I need to test API if I can use Selenium/Playwright/Cypress to test end2end?\n– We need (probably?) some Load and Performance Tests\, but I have no clue\, what do I do…?\n– I have a clue and wrote some L&P Tests (or many). What can they else be good for?\n– OpenAPI/Swagger – some typical pitfalls\n– Do I need do manual testing if we have a lot of automated API tests?\n– How can I correctly write E2E or API tests to delete the test data after its execution in the pipeline\nAdobe Armenia office is located at Halabyan 22/5\, 2nd floor.\n\nFind more tech events happening in Armenia here

Run by the Global Entrepreneurship Network\, it consists of monthly gatherings of local community and business leaders\, founders\, ecosystem builders\, investors and others interested in helping startups flourish. \nIn addition to providing direct support to entrepreneurs\, the program addresses a critical element of success for all ecosystems – connectivity. GEN-backed research shows that startup communities with greater levels of local connectedness translate to an increased number of startups – and that founders with high levels of connectivity grow their revenue twice as fast as those with lower levels. \nFormat\nHeld regularly on the last Friday of each month\, Startup Huddle increases connectivity by convening the community to see each other while listening to and supporting local founders who give 6-minute presentations outlining challenges faced by their company. Each presentation is followed by a 20-minute conversation offering constructive criticism focused on finding solutions and increasing founder know-how. \nWith new founders cycling through each gathering\, and previous presenters joining the audience to give back\, the community continues to expand while connections deepen. \nSpeakers\nArsen Asatryan\, Co-founder and CEO at Edmap | Arsen is a Product Manager at TUMO Center for Creative Technologies. SUMMARY:PyData Yerevan December 2023
DESCRIPTION:We are happy to announce the last PyData Yerevan December meetup of 2023! \nVahan Huroyan\, a Machine Learning Researcher at the YerevaNN research lab\, will feature a talk on “Recent Developments in Self-Supervised Learning for Computer Vision.” \nDuring the talk\, he will provide an overview of the latest developments in self-supervised learning (SSL) for computer vision. He will delve into its challenges\, and discuss future directions for this field. \nSelf-supervised learning (SSL) is a powerful tool for training computer vision models without the need for extensive labeled data. SSL methods are designed around pretext tasks that force models to learn valuable representations from the training data. These learned representations can then be transferred to downstream tasks\, such as: \n\nimage classification\,\nobject detection\,\nand segmentation\, with minimal fine-tuning\n\nThe two main approaches of SSL include Contrastive learning and Masked image modeling: \nContrastive learning is a general SSL framework that trains models to distinguish between positive and negative pairs of images. \nMasked image modeling is a specific type of SSL that involves masking random patches of an image and training the model to predict the masked pixels. \nRegister now and save the date to join us on December 14\, at 19:00\, in the 314w\, PAB room at AUA to discover more: https://forms.gle/9y2Latee1zmTtGaAA \n  \nFind more tech events happening in Armenia here
