DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to announce that #CSE and the AUA Office of the President will host a lecture on “Digital You: The Virtual Future of Medicine” featuring an esteemed guest\, Dr. Peter Coveney\, an author of the book “Virtual You: How Building Your Digital Twin Will Revolutionize Medicine and Change Your Life.” \nAbout Dr. Coveney\nDr. Coveney is a: \n\nProfessor of Physical Chemistry\, Honorary Professor of Computer Science\,\nDirector of the Centre for Computational Science (CCS)\,\nAssociate Director of the Advanced Research Computing Centre at University College London (UCL)\nProfessor of Applied High Performance Computing at the University of Amsterdam (UvA)\nProfessor Adjunct at the Yale School of Medicine at Yale University.\n\nThe concept of virtual humans\nThe concept of virtual humans is compelling\, offering an in-silico environment known as a digital twin. Here personalized medicine can be implemented. It will incorporate individual features from personal genome to the anatomy of connected organ systems and beyond into human populations and clinical trials. These virtual humans will aid in medical and clinical treatment decisions.
