Universal Acceptance is a global initiative focused on promoting the internationalization of national domain names (IDNs) and the email addresses associated with them (EAIs).

Armenia, represented by the Internet Society NGO, has joined the Universal Acceptance Movement. The NGO has established a working group that has already started efforts to ensure global acceptance of .հայ domain.

Additionally, the working group has developed technical solutions to achieve universal acceptance of Armenian-script email addresses, such as անուն@էլ.փոստ.հայ.

On March 28, 2023, Universal Acceptance Day was celebrated globally for the first time. Armenia participated in the event by hosting a regional conference.

Since then, annual conferences have been organized in Yerevan to mark the observance of Universal Acceptance
