Aerospace engineer Jean-Jacques Dordain will visit the National Polytechnic University of Armenia – NPUA within the framework of NPUA-Starmus cooperation. The lecture will be held in the foyer of the 2nd floor of the 2nd building of the NPUA. on September 6 at 11:00 a.m. The language of the lecture is English.
Jean-Jacques Dordein 2003-2015 was the Director General of the European Space Agency. During his tenure at ESA, Mr. Dordein developed ESA’s relationship with the European Union and its institutions. He led a long series of successful Ariane launches and launched Earth observation satellites into orbit, providing unique data for the scientific community to understand and monitor Earth’s environment and climate change.
Starmus VI international festival, held on September 5-10, is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the first landing on Mars. The festival is mainly focused on astronomy, space studies, music, art and other related fields of science. The founder of the festival is the Armenian astrophysicist Garik Israelyan.
