Join the upcoming “Nuclear Detection with Geiger Counters” course led by exceptional AUA Alumni (BSES ‘22) and current MIT student Grigor Tukharyan from January 8 to January 26 at AUA.

In this intensive three-week course, you will:

  • Explore the basics of nuclear interactions with photons.
  • Grasp essential statistical concepts crucial for nuclear detection.
  • Dive into analog electronics necessary for crafting a Geiger counter.
  • Master data analysis using Python.
  • Build your own Geiger counter with hands-on experience using analog electronics and breadboards.
  • Conduct experiments with your personally crafted Geiger counters.
