DigiCode 2022 State Round: Youth Applied Programming Contest is back. It will be held in 2 rounds: regional and state.

The main goals of the competition are:

• encourage and develop students’ algorithmic thinking
• turn them from game consumers into game makers
• identify talented teenagers and enable them to develop their creative abilities
• identify the most active schools and individuals

DigiCode2022 has also become an effective platform where schoolchildren from all the Marzes of Armenia meet each other to share knowledge and innovative ideas.

The programming language of the DigiCode 2022 – State Round is Scratch. It is a graphical programming environment developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Working in this environment, schoolchildren communicate through the network with students from other foreign schools.  They discuss the strengths and weaknesses of their games and help them evaluate each other.

The schoolchildren compete for the “Virtual laboratory on STEM topics”, “Computer games” and “Integration of Python programmed Devices” nominations.
