We are excited to invite you to the “Concepts, Coroutines, This, and That: How C++20/23 Will Change the Way You Write Code” lecture by Dr. Fedor Pikus, a Technical Fellow and the Director of the Advanced Projects Team in Siemens Digital Industries Software.
C++20 marks a significant update to the C++ standard since C++1, introducing essential changes that redefine how one writes code. With the new language constructs, writing code could not recognized as C++ anymore.
In this lecture, Dr. Pikus will:
- explore key changes, such as ranges, new operators, revised template and lambda expression syntax, new compile-time features like “deducing this,” and some of the library additions,
- focus on the two fundamental changes of the language – concepts and coroutines. While concepts make it easier to write safer, more maintainable generic code, coroutines simplify more complex code structures.
Mark your calendars to join us on October 9 at 7:00 pm in the 408e, PAB room at the American University of Armenia.
