The Armenian-American company EngineerX has launched a new student competition – ChessBoardX. It’s designed to highlight the creativity and technical talent of the next generation of engineers.

After the success and enthusiastic response to the inaugural “Armenian Engineering Evolution” competition in 2025, our team is excited to bring it back for 2026.

This year’s theme is chess—a field where Armenia has long excelled, both in engineering innovation and world-class chess achievements. Through this initiative, we aim to give university and college students a platform to showcase their ideas, build, and compete.

Students from Armenia’s leading universities are participating in teams of 2–4 members.

15 teams and more than 43 students have already accepted the challenge, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for engineering creativity among young innovators.

The grand finale will take place on April 28 at the Holiday Inn Rooftop, where an expert jury of engineers will evaluate the projects and select the winning teams.
